I became a teacher in 1985 because I love working with children and I wanted to create an environment where children could learn while being supported and challenged in a joyful and safe environment.

I have worked as an in-home childcare provider, as an adult educator, and as a classroom teacher in California, Seattle, and Bellevue. I received my National Board Certification in 2006 and renewed in 2015. Most of my experience has been in grades kindergarten through fifth.
